Im sorry to hear bout your problems. My main problem is beiing able to get into the game. Quite often it crashes on the way in (at no particular place, just random crashes), and it kinda takes the fun out of things when not everything works. But when it works, and I have free time to play, my oh my, it's fun !! So what I think I'm trying to say, is hang in there, and try to remember the working things, not the broken (I know its hard) My two cents

Bro. You seem to have the succubis of miserable luck hanging around you these last few weeks. My recommendation for fun in DDO. Launch the patcher, wait until its asking you for acc/ps. Close it, run it again. Log in, roll a d10, roll it again cause that was a mule, play that character and go do stuff and make a name in Eberron for it. Or play the AH and make a mil.

but why it happened again ---> goto play game and it has to patch just plain annoying >><< and then i goto play and sure enough another direct x issue -> so apperently i cant have direct x work for 2.5 weeks (i think??) before having to install it yet again

So next time DDO is down for an update, use the downtime to reinstall directX ;D

I might add that it's not just you. I don't have the problem with DirectX, but the frustration level with the bugs and downtime is rising. I do 3 computers upkeep just to play DDO. Another frustration. With the 'new gear' and changes in the game, we ran 3 Eveningstar quests tonight, 4 in the party... and every one of us got 'gems' in every chest - except for 1 player spared the gems in 1 trunk. Suddenly, the random loot generator forgot how to randomly generate anything but rocks in epic quests? They put up a preview of CC, then shut down for 3 hours today. I think Kaang is still in his yeller smoking jacket... it's poor programming and lack of beta testing.
I'm not crazy about Star Wars, but it doesn't seem to have the down time that DDO has and I haven't seen the ridiculous amount of glitches that I am seeing in DDO.

Do you know they didnt even have a post up about the downtime white until I blasted them on facebook about it and then a few minutes later they put one up the other day.
But wow so they fixed paralyzing weapons but broke Epic Loot thats just point blank an Epic Fail. I tried the star wars game and couldnt get into even tho i liked Star Wars from when i was 8 until i was 15ish

Yea my brother moved away with the vhs tapes of years ago. and then i stopped finding the good plastic ships in stores to and even tho i downloaded the movies when i got a computer i couldnt get back into SW. The only SW game i liked was the pod racer one for the Nintendo 64

The pod racer game was the best thing to come out of the prequels by far. I played the hell out of that game my senior year of high school.

Not that i want to drag up a dead topic. but today was one of those days i questioned the why me again.
day before my birthday scads of things screw up at work. my birthday even more things at work horribly go wrong and then to cap it off i didnt get a single happy birthday from anyone except my brother, and 2 people at work (unless you count the handful of people from Dark Prophecy who told me happy birthday yesterday before midnight).
Then no less the car breaks down and im lucky i was able to make it workable enough to get home.
