Raise Dear is the ultimate alias for calling "rez!". This isn't particularly raid specific, more like a healer thing. usually if someone is calling raise/rez, then I'm too busy doing something else to do it. My rule is, heal first, res later. Res'ing is slow (even with quicken), so by res'ing one player, I could have 3 die. I also res one, then heal, then see if I have time to res another. also, I don't particularly like it if someone else is raising people with raise dead spell/ scroll, if I or someone else is available to use res or true res. Raise dead brings the player back at 10% hp, which means, I or someone else have to heal them within a few secs or they'll just die right away.

I agree, it's best to keep the party alive and rez comes second. It gets hot and heavy in a raid with people calling for heals, rezzes and whatever other services clerics have to offer. For that reason, I have Raise Dead and Resurrection on my hot bar, so I can use one while the other is cooling down. I don't use True Resurrection because it takes too long to cast the spell. I can rez and heal faster than I can cast true rez. I also have slots of scrolls, in the event that my spell points are low - Raise Dead and Resurrection again - I've only resorted to them once or twice, but they're there if I need them. I carry lots of ddo store pots with me, so I seldom have to resort to scrolls, but when it comes down to it, a scroll is better than nothing. I've begun using Mass Heal and Mass Cure Serious and Moderate wounds in big fights, so I'm getting up close and personal with the boss. Wearing a Torque is awesome in that I'm getting hit, healing up and restoring spell points all at the same time.

@jonathrint thanks worked really hard on this. This is the overhauled version of my original concept (Raid Video thread). @the Clerics -- Yep we all might have different view but we gotta keep the party going until someone says "stop the music". I have my bar like Meemau does for the rez spells. I used to buy scrolls but then theyd sit there unused for a while so i temp stopped since i needed inventory room. <..........>Computer still screwed up I hope to have it back up and working for Monday (Backed up everything already so I'm going to try something I just thought of tonight if it works I'll be back in game way sooner -- perhaps tonight)

I have the true res spell hot keyd with quicken on, and then res scrolls in the spot beside the spell. All my mass cures/heals are quickened too, as well as bursts. I do like it though, using true res, because it means that player is safe for a few seconds and I can focus on someone else. I really avoid using pots, and I rarely need to (basically, I only pot when people tell me to, otherwise I use scrolls if I do run out of mana) I use bursts and aura for as much as I can, and avoid over healing (I use superior arvor VI for all cures/heals).

Saw some people were still checking this thread out and since I have found a work around to fix my ability to not upload anything. I can now post this revised Version 4. I will eventually add my info for the Master Artificer raid but I rly don't want to fight with youtube to upload the video tonight.

I'll finish looking at your guide but I haven't used it no. Standard practices having played other games I've had an idea of how to do a quest with others without being in their way. Works well if your first life is sorcerer your just expected to nuke anyhow you can just watch the rest of how it's done then and learn (it's why I recommend sorcerer as a beginners class).
Standard gaming rules always apply:
1. if you don't know what your doing keep your eyes peeled and watch what your teammates are doing and do what they do, and if solo look for "tells" around you to stand back. Exceptions is if your melee and your watching the tank unless your geared to tank as well slapping suulomades around and grabbing agro probly isn't a good idea.
2. if your a caster you've probably got a speed buff... if you've got a speed buff melees probably can't catch up to you except in a few scenarios... if you have a habit of drawing monster's attention learn defensive measures (in ddo that includes PM death aura/NEB and active blocking using a tower shield for DR or using stoneskin and blur etc).
3. Know your role. As long as you know your role you can play decently about anywhere winging it. Such as a rogue with 600 HP a tank does not make (seen it tried it was hilarious... but frustrating). If your a wizard don't try nuking like a sorc your blue bar won't be able to keep up compared to a sorcs. If your a sorc don't bother trying to FoD and wail to much they're fun but sorc DCs suck on average. etc
4. If all else fails (everyone but you is dead) learn the 2 magical arts of jump casting and kiting and nuke the crud out of your target and hope you kill it before it kills you (only applies to casters divine or arcane). Only to be performed if your last man standing better to run out of mana before the juggernaut of ultimate doom appears but get 1 chest then total party wipe.
